In our website we tried to present not our ideas, but the great idea of Revelation. To present not our words, but the teaching of the incarnated Son and Word of God. We want through this website to spread the messages of the Evangelical Word, the Word of our Church. That's why we created this site. THE TEMPLE

Holy temple of St. Christopher - Agrinio town

Saint Christopher is the patron - saint and protector of Agrinio city. There are two Churches consecrated in His name in our city. The old Church of St. Christopher founded in 1847 A.D. and the new one founded in 1920 A.D. and consecrated in 1937 A.D. The concept of building new bigger temple, in the city of Agrinio, belonged at the blessed elder priest fr. Apostolos Fafutis.
With this desire in heart fr. Apostolos started at 1920 A.D. He thought about it, he told his collaborators and went on. There was not any money at all. But his faith was strong. Letters were written to all directions, commissions struggled, the hand was put in front. So, the new Temple of St. Christopher has today this beautiful history. Every corner of the temple bears testimony of the sufferings, tears and struggles of Father Apostolos (Papapostolis) and of all Agrinio citizens.
In 1937 A.D. the temple was consecrated. Today, with the blessings of His Reverence, our Metropolite Kosmas and with the moral and financial help of the devout parishioners and all pilgrims, the various works in the sublime Holy Temple of St. Christopher continue.
Let us all ask St. Christopher's grace, his protection and his intercessions towards our Lord Jesus Christ.

WORSHIP GATHERINGS:
Every day, the services of matins, vespers and compline are celebrated. Every Saturday, during holy Feast and every Sunday morning the Holy Mass is celebrated.

Every Wednesday evening the supplicatory services to the Most - Holy Virgin Mary, to St. Christopher and to St. Nektarios are chanted by turns.

Every first Wednesday of each month the service of the Holy Unction is celebrated.

Every year in 21 November the Holy Vigilance in honor of our Lady Mother of God is celebrated.

During the Great Lent every Wednesday and Friday morning and evening the Masses of the Pre - sanctified Gifts are celebrated and daily the Great compline service is celebrated (at 18:00 hrs). Also, every Friday evening the Hail Mary is chanted at 19:00 hrs

HOLY CONFESSION:
Everyday by the temple priests, fr. Constantine and fr. Vasilios.

OTHER ACTIVITIES:
In our Holy Temple there is fund for the poor, Library and Sunday school. We also organize pilgrimage tours and sermons.
